xx This is a STORAGE of the old community...
    Jul 08, 2010, 03:20 PM by Kindred
I have backed up the important parts of the community including the galleries, the articles, glossary and, of course, the message threads to my own server.   They will remain here until the domain expires in March of 2011.
Since this is a backup, I have disabled registration of new users.

I have also disabled some of the rest of the site, including the nice, dark theme in order to save space.

    The Summer Boggle Season
Actually, that's rather unfair. There are big cat sightings all year round and, although he doesn't want to give his name, the peson who saw the Arlecdon cat last Monday morning seems a very reliable witness. The journalist in me struggles to understand the enthusiasm my colleagues show for this type of story. There's a touch of mystery about it I suppose but at the end of the day, if an overg
Va. Woman Fights 'Fortune Teller' Label
A Chesterfield County, Va., woman claims county officials have violated her religious rights by defining her as a fortune teller rather than a spiritual counselor. A hearing in Patricia Moore-King's lawsuit is set for Thursday in federal court in Richmond. King claims she has been unable to obtain a business license because of the more stringent standards the county imposes on fortune teller
What Do You Know Of The Green Man?
Local people with theories about some of the Derry's centuries- old street art are being urged to put them forward on Facebook. The 16-year-old photographed the mysterious different heads at the entrance to three of Derry's gates along the Walle
Oregon: Make Merry As A Faerie
No matter your age, if your inner faerie has been itching to come out, Faerieworlds -- Friday-Sunday in Eugene -- may be the festival for you. "It's three days of live music, real arts and crafts, amazing costumes and performances out in nature, under the sun and stars, for the whole family," says Robert Gould, one of the producers of the 8-year-old event celebrating pan-Celtic, mythic music a
Nottingham Pagans Aim To Alter Misconceptions With 'Pride' Event
Esme Knight is a witch who is keen to put the record straight about paganism. She turned her back on a high-powered career in London to live a life in Nottingham more true to her pagan beliefs. Now she's organising an event called Pagan Pride to raise awareness of the beliefs and alter misconceptions. "The biggest misconception is the worshipping of the devil, because there's no devil in
Federal Judge Blocks Parts Of Arizona Immigration Law
A federal judge has blocked one of the most controversial sections of a tough Arizona immigration law, granting a preliminary injunction Wednesday that prevents police from questioning people about their immigration status. That provision of the law requires police to "make a reasonable attempt to determine the immigration status of a person stopped, detained or arrested" if the officer has a r
FBI Defends Guidelines For Domestic Surveillance
Under fire from civil liberties groups, the FBI is defending domestic surveillance guidelines that critics fear could unfairly target innocent Muslims in terrorism and other criminal investigations. "It's quite an invasive data collection system," said Farhana Khera, executive director of the nonprofit group Muslim Advocates. "It's based on generalized suspicion and fear on the part of law enfo

Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund filed suit against Augusta State University on July 28 on behalf of a graduate counseling student who, according to an ADF release, was told that her Christian beliefs concerning homosexuality are "unethical and incompatible with the prevailing views of the counseling profession." The student, Jennifer Keeton, has been told to stop sharing her beliefs with
FYI: Tips To Prevent Religious Bias Claims
Questions about religion in the workplace have increased as the number of religiously diverse applicants and employees has climbed. Complaints related to religion can put employers on a tightrope, especially when the complaints involve proselytizing in the workplace. ItÂ’s important to remember that you must balance several factors to avoid claims by proselytizing employees and their co-workers.
